This has helped reduce the cost of incarceration. *Helped negotiate contract with collection agency to collect past-due fines due to municipality. *Formed the Community Impact Panel as an outlet for younger, first-time offenders to get court-ordered guidance from established members of the community. *Pursued grant funds to help with the hiring of personnel and purchase of software for court staff *Expanded the Vicksburg Domestic Violence Victims' Empowerment Program to include more community outreach, more defendant accountability and more services for victims of domestic violence. *Continued and extended the amnesty period which allows offenders to satisfy old warrants without being arrested. |
